A VISIT TO THE OREGON COAST

SALEM, OREGON TO COOS BAY, OREGON

APRIL 18-20, 2006

Sunset Bay State Park, near Coos Bay, Oregon

We decided that a short trip along the Oregon Coast would give us a chance to let the new car see something besides the highway between our home and the nearest Indian casino! Also, we needed a "shakedown" trip to find where we had stashed all the travel gear, since we will soon need to get ready for our cruise from Italy to the Greek Islands.

We left shortly after Easter Sunday, and had the two nicest, sunniest days since last fall. The Oregon Coast never looked better. While we certainly spent a fair amount of time inside darkened Indian casinos, we did manage to enjoy the vistas and Oregon state parks between Lincoln City and Coos Bay.

Enjoy a look at what must be the most beautiful coastal scenery in all of the "lower 48" states. Click here for photo album.
