Santa Marta is the oldest Colonial City in Colombia.

Narrow Streets and upstairs balconies are typical.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Santa Marta is also a major Carribbean port

 

 

 

 

 

 

Just 5 km away from Santa Marta

is the small fishing village of Taganga.

PLAYA GRANDE

just a 20 min walk over the hill from Taganga Bay.

 

There are many thatched hut restaurants

on the beach serving fish, chicken, or beef.

Back in Taganga Bay all the fishing boats are back in before sunset.
